FRESNO TAXPAYERS do a great job of supplying Fresno police officers with the basic necessities found within the City’s budget, such as uniforms, firearms, and ammunition – but oftentimes, it is the equipment that falls outside of the scope of the budget that makes the biggest difference. One such life-saving piece of equipment is the non-lethal Taser.
Non-lethal Tasers have the potential to save dozens of lives
each year because they serve as an effective alternative to lethal
force. At the moment, approximately 75 Fresno police officers
are waiting to be provided with a non-lethal Taser. With your
help, every patrolling officer on the force will have one of these
life-saving devices.
